Suggested Itinerary For Perthshire, The Lake District And North Yorkshire

It really doesn’t matter what way you travel around this triangle of treats you’ll be sure to enjoy this road trip with splendid countryside, things to see and do and maybe even a little shopping trip added in.

  • Enjoy a visit to Harlow Carr Gardens when staying at our Cairn Hotel in Harrogate or shop in the many boutique shops close by for little hidden gems.
  • A mini cruise on Lake Windermere is a must with refreshments also available to purchase onboard when visiting, the Cumbria Grand in Grange-over-Sands. We are also only an hours drive away from Blackpool Pleasure Beach and the seaside delights it has to offer.
  • Perthshire is stunning rain or shine and it has many popular attractions as well as walks to be enjoyed. Scone Palace is striking and usually has a number of events throughout the year for guests to attend. Maybe you’d like to take in some of the local scenery and nature, why not walk the Heart

Suggested Itinerary For Speyside, Strathpeffer And Fort William

Make the most of our highland hotels when exploring the north of Scotland and take in all these beautiful areas from distillery tours to nature and highland walks around the likes of Loch Garten.

  • Take a steam train round Strathspey where you can enjoy the scenery this beautiful part of the country has to offer. Afterwards enjoy a delightful tipple in our Nethybridge Hotel, in the charming little village called Nethy Bridge 10 miles outside Aviemore.
  • Strathpeffer a Victorian spa village, only an hour’s drive from Inverness is the perfect town to relax in with lovely walks and an old train station now converted into the local ‘Highland Museum of Childhood’ with acollection of toys, games, costumes, books and photography. They also have a number of popular distilleries within driving distance of the hotel.
  • Fort William one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Scottish Highlands home to the Jacobite Steam Train and a short drive from Mallaig and over the bridge to Skye. Strathmore has two very popular hotels here the Alexandra Hotel in the city centre or Ben Nevis Hotel a short 1 mile from the main drag.

Suggested Itinerary For Fort William, Oban And Perthshire

Explore both the East and West of Scotland with this suggested itinerary, you could even pay the West coast islands a visit while in Oban also known as ‘the heart to the islands’.

  • Visit the Glenfinnan Monument or go on a Crannog Cruise down Loch Linnhe when visiting Fort William, these are all popular tourist attractions. Don’t forget the Hogwarts Express also known as the Jacobite Steam Train!
  • Oban known for its fine seafood, harbour views, Dunstaffnage Castle and over the water to the west coast islands of Mull and Iona. Or you could always enjoy a tour around Oban Distillery a short walk from our hotel.
  • Perthshire a place full of Museums, stately attractions, whisky and majestic scenery throughout.
